THE IFAW LIFETIME DEDICATION AWARD GOES TO CELIA HAMMOND - One of the top models in the 60's appearing on countless Vogue covers, Celia used her modelling career as a platform from which to campaign against the fur trade, factory farming, vivisection, and other animal abuses. She gave up her career in the early 70's to devote her life to animals. She founded the Celia Hammond Animal Trust in 1986, with the main objective of setting up low cost neuter and vaccination clinics around the UK.

Having spent many years desk-bound in a busy office environment I realised that I wanted to work with dogs as much as I could and following a return to agricultural college to study Canine Behaviour I took the decision to make a life change. I now work with owners to help them understand how they can help their dogs overcome any behavioural problems. I also provide one to one training in obedience or field work, puppy socialisation classes and when time permits a dog-walking service.

Lingfield Lodge Veterinary Clinic

There has been a veterinary clinic at Lingfield Lodge Farm since 1982. The practice started in a small outbuilding and moved to the present more spacious premises in 1989. At Animaline no animal is put to sleep unless the quality of its life would be unacceptable. We go to enormous trouble to save all creatures, be they a Shire horse or a dormouse.

Haxted Kennels

Haxted is an approved boarding kennel, which have been owned and run by the same family for over forty years. Many of our staff have been with us for several years and provide an experienced and caring approach to ensure all our dogs are happy and safe. We have a reputation for our large paddocks, exercise areas and large individual kennels where the dogs eat and sleep. The beds are raised off the floor and all the kennels are heated in cold weather.
